Alex

Alex completed his studies in mathematics and political science at the University of Puget Sound. His specialties include algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and advanced math topics. Alex has played Ultimate Frisbee for 10 years and in 2010 helped lead his team to the World Ultimate Frisbee Championship, finishing in the top 16 of his division.

Amir

Amir completed his studies in bioengineering at the University of California, Berkeley. His specialties include algebra, geometry and physics. Amir is an intermediate H3 rated pilot and spends his free time hang gliding! He also enjoys caring for his carnivorous plant collection which includes Venus flytraps, Sundews and Pitcher plants.

Rachael

Rachael completed her studies in mathematics at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. Her specialties include algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus and calculus. Outside the academic world, Rachael enjoys cycling (mainly road), rock climbing and video games.

Richard

Richard completed his studies in applied mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley. His specialties include algebra and statistics. Richard enjoys exploring and staying active, through hiking, swimming and yoga. He has already traveled to 18 states, but plans to visit all 50!

Patrick

Patrick completed his studies in computer science and mathematics at Middlebury College in Vermont. His specialties include elementary math, algebra and geometry. Patrick has been playing ultimate frisbee since the 7th grade. He was crowned a D3 National Champion in 2013 and was even recognized as an exemplary model of the spirit of the game.

Wes

Wes completed his studies in biology at College of the Canyon and chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley. His specialties include physical science, biology and chemistry. Wes is an avid outdoorsman. When he is not tutoring, he is most likely on a mountain. He enjoys hiking, biking and snowboarding. Wes has played in his own garage band, school jazz bands and even marched in the University of California Marching Band.

Jacqueline

Jacqueline completed her studies in molecular and cell biology at the University of California, Berkeley. Her specialties include physical science, biology and chemistry. Jacqueline loves outdoor activities including swimming, hiking and running with friends. She loves traveling and wants to make her way around the world!

Diana

Diana completed her studies in English (with a secondary teaching certification) at Swarthmore College, and in English literature and creative writing at San Francisco State University. Her specialties include English, language arts, literature, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and SAT/ACT/SAT II. Diana cannot pass a bookstore without going in, she cannot leave without buying a book, and all her bookshelves are full.

Shanna

Shanna completed her studies in English and Spanish at California State University, East Bay and in comparative literature at San Francisco State University. She also teaches reading development workshops. Her specialties include English, language arts, literature, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, government, history (US, World, European), and SAT/ACT/SAT II. Shanna is a history nut and loves any book or movie even loosely related to history.

Stanislaw

Stanislaw completed his studies in history and political science at the University of California, Berkeley. His specialties include English, language arts, literature, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and SAT/ACT/SAT II. Stanislaw is a huge J. R. R. Tolkien fan and loves everything related to The Lord of the Rings books and The Hobbit - everything except the new Hobbit films.

Skyler

Skyler completed his studies in English and media studies at the University of California, Berkeley. His specialties include English, language arts, literature, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and SAT/ACT/SAT II. Skyler once co-owned a website dedicated to depressing ice cream flavors. Even though hackers eventually took it down, he continues to write in his spare time.

Sydney

Sydney completed her studies in design and environmental analysis at Cornell University. Her specialties include Spanish language and literature after having lived in Medellin, Colombia for 5 years working in Education and International Development. While living in Colombia Sydney became fascinated by the power of alternative medicine after meeting a nun who helps thousands of vulnerable people through reflexology and is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine.

Homayoon

Homayoon is the President of Bay Area Tutoring Centers, Inc. He studied biophysics at the University of California, Berkeley. His specialties include trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, physics, and SAT/ACT/SAT II. Homayoon has been a serious Trekkie since the age of 8. His daughters fondly refer to him as "Bobzilla."

Rhiannon

Rhiannon is the Operations Manager at Bay Area Tutoring Centers, Inc. She completed her studies in psychology at California State University, Chico and in business administration at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Rhiannon loves Bay Area sports, especially the San Francisco Giants!

Michael

Michael is an Office Administrator at Bay Area Tutoring Centers, Inc.
